Refractive Error

What is Refractive Error?

Refractive error describes a problem with the shape of the eye that causes light not to focus properly. As a result, vision is blurry. Myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism are all types of refractive error. Refractive error is corrected with glasses, contact lenses, or refractive surgery.
