Polycarbonate lenses

Polycarbonate is a thinner, lighter, and more impact-resistant material than plastic. Safety glasses are often made of polycarbonate lenses. Anyone at risk of injury to the eye should use an impact-resistant material like polycarbonate. This includes children, people with only one good eye, or individuals who participate in risky occupations or hobbies.
