Photophobia

What is Photophobia?

Photophobia refers to the eyes being abnormally sensitive to light. Photophobia can be natural in those with light-colored eyes. When photophobia comes on acutely, however, it usually has an underlying cause, such as inflammation of the iris (iritis) or corneal abrasion. In these cases, photophobia can be accompanied by tears.
