Optician

An optician is an eye care professional trained to assist with eyeglasses, including design, finishing, fitting, and dispensing. Opticians make glasses according to an optometrist’s or ophthalmologist’s prescription. Opticians can often grind lenses and fit them into frames on site, rather than sending them off to a lab. Some opticians are licensed.
